The Bon Vivant

Nice

After Milan I took the train to Nice where I enjoyed the sea, fine art, and more opera. A local carousel and a sweet young boy and his best friend.

Teatro Massimo – Palermo, Sicily

Passione secondo Giovanni

Music by Johann Sebastian Bach

The first of three operas I was fortunate enough to attend on my current travels abroad. Teatro Massimo is the largest theatre in Italy and the third largest opera house in Europe although it may be best known because the final scenes of the Godfather III were filmed here.

Positano Moments

We took the water ferry from Amalfi to Positano and back today. Positano was filled with tourists and the excitement of First Communion at the lovely Chiesa du Santa Maria Assunta. For lunch we enjoyed a local wine before our journey back to Amalfi.image image image image image

Photo London

Whilst I sit overlooking the Mediterranean and the town of Amalfi I now have time to reflect on my time in London last week enjoying London Photo. There was a wonderful exhibition at the Brazilian Embassy “The Last Hunters” photographed by Domenico Pugliese. The links below are well worth the read.
